NHK ENTERPRISES obtained ISMS (Information Security Management System) certification on August 9, 2010 and has since gradually expanded the scope of departments covered. The Company recognizes the protection of the information assets we handle as a critical social responsibility and has established an “Information Security Policy” and strive to achieve a higher level of information security through continuous improvement.

Information Security Policy

Introduction – Information security objectives of NHK ENTERPRISES

NHK ENTERPRISES, INC. (“the Company”) has earned the trust of its customers by contributing to the realization of a prosperous society and the creation of culture through diverse businesses, including the production and sales of various content such as NHK broadcast programs, and the planning and implementation of events. The media environment in which the Company operates is constantly changing, driven by rapid advances in IT technology, the use of high-definition imaging technologies such as 4K and 8K, and the need to adapt to AI. To earn even greater trust from our customers going forward, we must respond appropriately to these environmental changes and continue meeting their requirements and expectations and those of society. To achieve this, sustained initiatives are essential, including transformation of internal work environments and raising awareness. From this perspective, the Company strives to maintain and enhance information security through the activities of its Information Security Management System (ISMS). Building upon this foundation, we will leverage the creative capabilities we have cultivated thus far to continuously deliver the value of compelling content.

Basic Policy for ISMS Operation

  1. Operation of the Information Security Management System (ISMS)

    To achieve our information security objectives, we regard our ISMS as an integral part of integrated risk management. This system protects our information and related assets from all threats, whether internal or external, intentional or accidental, while also serving as a means to actively leverage these assets.
  2. Information Security Initiatives

    All officers and employees recognize the importance of protecting and utilizing information assets. We will undertake concerted efforts to implement information security measures, keeping the following points in mind.
    1. We swiftly and accurately identify changes in both internal and external environments and assess their impact on business operations.
    2. We implement appropriate information security management to prevent information security incidents before they occur.
    3. In the event of an incident, we will minimize damage, ensure prompt recovery, and prevent recurrence.
    4. We will ensure the availability of information assets, enabling access to necessary information when it is needed.
  3. Compliance with Information Security-related Standards and Contracts

    We will comply with laws and regulations such as the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and the Copyright Act as well as norms and contracts related to information security, such as agreements with business partners.
  4. Information Security Procedures

    We will establish and implement appropriate procedures to maintain and enhance information security.We will also revise the content as appropriate in response to future environmental changes.
  5. Education and Training on Information Security

    To maintain and enhance information security, we will implement necessary education and training for all officers and employees, aiming to raise awareness and ensure thorough understanding.
  6. Audits

    We undergo third-party audits based on the JIS Q 27001 ISMS standard and conduct regular internal audits to ensure continuous improvement.
  7. Establishment of an ISMS Committee and Appointment of an ISMS Management Representative

    An ISMS Committee will be established to operate the information security management system, and an ISMS Management Representative will be appointed.
